2024 goal setting, reflecting on 2023 goals
reflecting on 2023's goals and setting goals for 2024
Hi!
I know it’s a little late for a 2024 goal setting post, but I just finished my finals, so technically my new year is only starting now.
Anyways, I’ll be reflecting on 2023 regarding my goals, and revising them for 2024.
This was my goal setting last year:
Did I achieve / make progress on my 2023 goals?
Having a positive mindset
I improved but I’m far from being a positive person
Being surrounded by good people (family and true friends)
I maintained my friendships with almost all my friends (the real / true friends are still around so all good)
I made a really good friend in 2023. It’s an unexpected friendship that took off in January. We knew each other in 2022 but didn’t talk much, and somehow we started talking a lot in January and got close super fast
Being a confident and mentally strong person
Yes and no? I think I made a little progress
Having a stable income
I’m still a student so no, but I am making progress towards getting a good job so I am on the path to it
Being self-sufficient and independent
I lived in a dorm this year and made a lot of progress with independence
Having time for hobbies
I definitely made time to read and watch movies in 2023
Having an active mind and body
I went jogging a few times and went hiking one time. I guess that counts?

I’m going to split my goals into categories for 2024

Substack (this newsletter is going to change a little)
I decided to not give detailed recaps about my week like last year cause I feel like they’re kinda boring. My uni life is the same every day - I wake up, go to class, study, do assignments, do club committee work, hang out with friends. I’ll just be giving summaries or a story about something interesting that happened during the week
I’ll still be posting weekly and will focus on talking about specific topics instead
I’ll still give book and movie reviews but I’ll group them together into one post a month
That’s all for this week, have a great week ahead!
- Grace :)
I post weekly updates every Saturday. I’ll be talking all about my week and self-improvement journey. Stay tuned!
